Omen?

As a young child I was playing on a beach in Japan when I saw a bee coming from the horizon. It stung my knee and then turned and flew back out to the horizon. I would think this was a fantasy of an imaginative child if it wasn't for my mom being on the beach and seeing it happen. I also remember my knee swelling to a ridiculous size until the dr made it stop.

That would not be the last time I was minding my own business and ended up in the ER because of a bee.

My dear friend became a beekeeper and kept inviting me to see her hive. As usual, i explained I would love to see her bees BUT yada yada yada insert multiple horror stories here.

Also as usual, she assured me that as long as I didn't bother the bees, the bees would leave me alone. Ooookay. I made myself stay very calm, I went and looked at the bees who started buzzing louder. She suggested we move away and sit a bit farther to visit.

Then she very firmly said, 'your presence is angering my bees. I think we should go inside.'

I prefer not to be outside if I don't have to be. That probably goes without saying.

What does this have to do with anything

Tonight is my first market show. Starting soon! If you stop by early in the event you will get to meet my daughter because while setting up I was stung by a bee.

So if you visit the event early you will get to see my daughter. She's amazing. And she's texting me with questions. I am so grateful she was there when this happened.

I also decided to look up whether a bee sting is an omen and it is. But it's probably not what you think!

According to the website Animal Symbolism:

Many people believe that being stung by a bee is not bad luck.Instead, It is a sign that good things or a gift are coming your way.
The bee sting symbolises that with every pain or obstacle thrown at you in life, good things will come. The good will outweigh the bad, and your suffering will result in reward.

So, I guess, under the circumstances, I'm not going to complain. And I've gotta go - in a room now & hopefully I will get to see the doctor soon!

And if all goes well, I will see everyone at the market tonight too!
